I used a clamp-on adapter that sits a bit further up the bar (also increases the effective stiffness of the bar). I've fully sealed the rod end bearings on the dampers in the past, 'cos they're expensive. The drop links I didn't bother with because they're relatively inexpensive. I used good quality self lubricating linered bearings and I'm surprised to say that despite being completely ignored for the last several years and 100K miles or so they still seem as good as new.
Sounds like you used good quality gear. Steve Heath said these drop links don't need lubricating, but I think I'll cover 'em in some sort of goop anyway, just to protect the washers and pins. I meant drop links all the time , not bushes, I was just teasing.

Not quite. I don't recommend lubricating my drop links because they are Teflon-lined, which effectively lubricates the joints & helps prevent the entry of debris & the resultant premature wear. If you cover them in goop, said goop will attract all sorts of debris which will cause premature wear.
