To remove the speedo on an S3, does the whole dash need to come out, or can you get to the fixings by dropping the steering column?
Any tips gratefully received.

I believe the speedo is held in by a bracket across the back of the unit which is accessible without removing the dash.

It is a different dash to mine but I know a man who has ........ I'm quite sure you can do it.

Cheers

You may be able to get it out, but what a sod getting it back in. (Sound like an old joke)
I took the whole dash out to remove all my instrumentation clocks, and i was glad i did, half of them where loose due to no locking nuts, and the volt meter was hanging in mid air.
Its worth the agro for piece of mind.
