Right, I have now removed the O/S trailing arm, as you will see in the photo the metal is quite clean under the paint, however I was able to shove a screw driver straight through with little effort.

Even if yours look alright you really should give them a good check over as they do rot from the inside..





All i need now is a replacment, none in at the moment at TVR Carparts

Although holed at least it wasn't on the verge of collapse.

Adrian Venn can rebuild it as good as new for less than a new one.

If you can't find his details I'll PM them later when I get home.

Thats exactly where mine went too.

Wire bushing off all the old crud and *Crunch* goes the brush through the arm.

Going to get as much cavity wax in there as possible, just getting a second coat of the Bilt Hamber Dynax UB on the chassis then go round all the awkward bits with Dynax 50. Seems to be going on well.

When I stripped the trailing arm down I noted no shims had been fitted previously, is this normal??

I had no shims one side and 4 on the other.
