Suspension Bushes
Discussion
I bought them from TVRCarparts but wherever you buy them they are the same price.
There is talk in the Bible of the bushes being a pig to get out as they have a metal outer. Mine didn't and were really easy to do.
I used a 12mm bolt about 100mm long, with a nut about 1/3 of the way along.
Hammer it through the bush and it just pushes out the other side.
I did have my wishbones off the car though, but they didn't take a lot of effort to get out.
There should be some PTFE grease supplied with the polybushes to fit them - make sure you get it.

Concur with Chris - the story of mine is on the website here
The PTFE grease is essential TVRCarparts didn't give me any so bought some from Halfords, but could only get a large tube. Make sure you ask for it when you order. Also if doing ARB bushes make sure you get the right size there are three different diameters of ARB out there.
As you'll see one of my bushes had to be cut out, but this was because the metal inner shell had corroded to the bolt so you couldn't withdraw the bolt from the chassis mounts rather than get the bush out of the wishbone (in fact it fell out one the bolt had been cut free)

planning on changing suspension bushes on my s3, have a look at AUTOBUSH they have the best prices that i can find at the moment ,but can only supply the rear suspension arm bushes as origional, p+p included in the price over £30.00ish kev
The autobush bushes are rubber as per original spec if I read their catalogue correctly. The ones discussed above are Polyeurothane bushes and are IMHO far better. I did search for prices and everywhere costs the same for Poly bushes although rubber ones did vary slightly (note the autobush prices are about the same as TVRcarparts rubber bush prices before you apply the 30% special offer).I would recommend paying the couple of pounds extra per bush for Poly though.
