I used Mk1 MX5 items. Just a case of drilling two holes and slapping them on. As long as the mirror base hides the large hole left by the bunnies ears, you're good to go with any sort.

and provided that the door hasn't been repainted or re-lacquered with the old mirrors in place so you're left with a ridge or a different colour...

Just replaced mine after years of rabbit ears - with Matiz ones as recommended by another PH'r on here - easy to fit with a certain amount of care and don't look too bad - probably not as good MX5 or TT options but for 35 quid of e-bay they are pretty damn good - I can see behind at last its a miracle I tell you

Hi
I resently fitted Matiz mirrors (replacing useless rabbit type) they can be fitted without removing door cards. carefully cut the plastic stalk as close to door as poss. remove metal piece before by cutting away plastic. I used a emery flap wheel in drill to make flush. Then offer mirrors up mark holes drill door & fit mirror using large self tapers.

Yes that is them, I purchased the manual ones, from Wing Mirror man, sure you get discount for buying the pair. You need to file/grind couple of bits flush on them. here is link
