Cherry Bombed S1

Hi Guys,
I'm looking to make my S a little more vocal so was planning to change the original silencers. What i'm after is a change from the 'Tina Turner' exhaust note (Powerful, but in the high range) to something a bit more 'Barry White (Deep, throaty, bit more V8ish). Now apart from actually buying a V8S, i'd thought i'd change the exhaust a bit. I've been looking at Cherry Bombs as they claim to reduce high frequency noise and improve exhaust flow, so if i get a little more 'oomph' out of it as well as a deeper noise, i won't complain.
I was planning on removing the middle box and putting in twin cherrybombs side by side, i've measured up and two with 3" diameter casing will fit. Has anybody done this mod the same way or with the cherrybomb tail pipes? I'm concerned it may be excessively loud (I know, a strange concern but sadly I have neighbours and with my dad's overly loud wedge in the garage as well, I don't want to upset them to much). So if anyone could enlighten me as to what sort of noise level I could expect and whether or not cherry bombs have any effect on preformance, it would be greatly appreciated.

Ray S has done it on his S1 tailpipes - he said he fitted them to quieten it down as it felt like it was knocking your teeth out when you drove it!
