bonnet adjustment

what is the way to adjust the bonnet
want to get the front up a bit

Where the bolts (Hinges!) attach at the front of the chassis - slacken off and move it up in the slot then tighten again - although mine was almost as high as it will go.

seems to be running ok now got ecu and took it to the injection centre
to have a play with

done around 300 miles this weekend without any faults

I adjusted mine with it open - take a photo of the positions before you do anything.
I don't think you would be able to do it shut unless you have a 4 post lift.

no 4 post lift , have a 4 foot pit

You need the bonnet open to make the adjustments, but obviously lower it into place between adjustments to see how you're getting on. Best not to actually latch it down until you've finished because it's easy to get the latches jammed if they aren't aligned properly.

My suggested order of adjustment is:

vertically,
forward/backward adjusters differentially to get parallel with the center line
sideways to get on the center line
forwards/backwards together to fit the wheel arch shut line
move the bonnet pins to hit the center of the latches
adjust the bonnet pin lengths so that the latches just engage as the bonnet is firmly closed.
