Some questios from a newbie?

Hi everyone

I am the proud owner of a new to me S3C (or so i think) according to the owners list she was built in 1993-year code P- but having looked underneath i don't think she has cats, we haven't jacked her up yet to see if she has a ltd slip diff but she does have TVR door handles?
Anyway paid close attention t all the issues on here and brought her home bank holiday monday from Cambridge to Southampton with a mile wide grin! She hadn't been run for a year so we went gingerly but didn't miss a beat.
I noticed on the temp gauge that she liked to run just under 90c, which is over halfway on the gauge, is that normal?
I would like to get on the owners list but i'm bewildered by it, i'm pretty sure my car is not already on there, how do you do it if thats the case? Do you just start with the next consecutive number?
Anyway thats enough from me and i hope i've got her finished in time for the next meet.

I don't think the S3c had LSD. Can't yo just find out by giving her a quick wheel-spin? They all have TVR door handles (mine does anyway). And yes they all run about 90 degrees which is perfectly normal. I'm sure I could add you onto the list, just need some details bout the car; wot it is, the colour, reg number (or part of it, this helps but not needed) and some comments about it.

Hi Dean and welcome, the best way to tell if it is an S3C is to look at the exhaust manifolds, if they have lambda sensors in them then it is a S3C if no lambda sensors then it is not, plenty of these cars have had their cats removed so that won't tell you which one it is. Another way to tell is by looking at the two hoses that go from the throttle body to the airfilter, if the hoses just join straight on to the air filter with no AFM's then it is definatley an S3C.
On a long run my car always sits at 90 degrees steady and never moves so your car sounds normal.

Jack up the rear so both wheels are off the floor - let handbrake off.
Spin one wheel - if the other one goes the same way its a LSD, if it goes the opposite way it isn't!
