s3 chassis problem maybe???

looking at my chassis today waying up what needs welding ,mainly outriggers and seat belt mounts and noticed that when looking from the front of the car towards the large dia rear tube, that the ends of the 3"tube appears to change angle very slightly,i have put a straight edge across and sure enough it appears on the o/side and near side the same,stange as the metal is solid any ideas to put my mind at rest??? kev.

Repaired before?

When my welder did mine he put the angle on upside down, so rather than re-do we chamfered the ends to fit in the body recess
