Bought the car in November 07 as a bit of a winter project, just a general clean and tidy up. That turned into a full body off clean up and a lot of long cold nights in the garage. Any thoughts I had about what the hell am I doing dissapeared this morning with the sun shining and the ink on the MOT still wet it was of for a 100+ miles of country roads through northern Lancs and the Yorkshire Dales. Faultless, grin inducing and made every eye full of rust and skined knuckle worthwhile.

Still a few things to do but they can wait.

Before setting of for the MOT

After a quick wash after the run.

Very, very nice. Looks like all your hard work has paid off.
What colour is that?, may be obvious to some but I'm colour blind.

Nice one - your car and mine were born on the same day - my original reg was H397 PYG.

Thanks for the replies, it is certainly nice to have finished all the dirty work. Just a few bits of trim and fettling to do. I am confident that I will be a participant at SCH 2009 rather than a spectator as I was at SCH 2008 (and very envious).

Harry1972M. This car was originally supplied by Harrogate Horsless Carriages, I think the PYG is a Yorkshire registration office number, could they have come from the same dealer.

They certainly did Tony - I have the original sales invoice and the car still has the Harrogate Horseless Carriages badge on the rear.

I found the original HHC badge when I lifted the carpets to remove the body and have refitted it to the back of the car. We just need to find H398 PYG. That would be a nice line up at SCH 2009.

Tony,
H398 was actually for sale in the classifieds on PH about a year or so ago - I agree, we should track him down for SC2009 for a photo.
