Window Winding Handle

I had to change my Winder Handles as one was knackered, hence I have 1 good original lft over, if anyone wants it to keep originality they can have it.Obviously 1st reply gets it

Hi Ken, what was your source of new ones? Neither of mine are brilliant and I was thinking of doing something about it as one of the winter jobs.

Thanks Ken, the 'audi' ones you fitted look excellent and SO much better than the tatty ones I have now so I have ordered them. Appreciate the link. That may force me to tidy up a few other bits inside!

When you get these they have various adaptors which fit onto the shaft which comes through the door card, you fit the adaptor then the winder fixes to the adaptor by means of a grub screw, I would suggest you drill into the adaptor very slightly at the point where the grub screw contacts it, it gives the winder a better grip on the adaptor than just trying to tighten the grub screw onto the surface which can lead to the handle turning on the adaptor (probably because my windows are a bit stiff to operate. do it before you do a final fix of the adaptor onto the shaft as it is a bit awkward to get them back off as they are a good tight fit on the shaft. you'll see the obviousness of it when they arrive.
