Hi All

Does anyone know what the "S" trackrod ends are off? I was of the opinion that they came off a Sierra, but they dont!! coz I ordered two and they are wrong. I have the TVR part number, but I dont think its Ford.Any ideas?

Mike.

Mike,

I was told the rack is Vauxhall Chevette of all things.

Anyone able to confirm this or not?

Cheers,

Dave.

with regard to Chevette: the rack is told to be based on the Chevette one.

Hey Guys

Don't assume anything with these cars especially bits that have been modified by TVR. Track rods have only a few different thredas and so many rod ends will screw on. Doesn't mean that they will fit at the other end though which also means that just because the rack is a Chevette one that it is automatically a Chevette one.

Why not contact a TVR dealer/specialist and at least get a quote. You may be very surprised to find that the prices are not that expensive and it saves you a lot of hassle!

Hi all,
I popped over to TVR Centre in Barnet and purchased two new ones. £15 each, so not to bad. Interestingly the man in the parts dept didn't know where they came from either, so it still remains a puzzle.

On a slightly different subject, does anyone have or know of a V8S bonnet in good condition that is for sale? I might have come up against a problem with the one I was going to buy.

How much are you willing to pay, any preferences for colour?

Any markings on them, or boxes as to their origin

I'm afraid that they were loose, i.e. not in any boxes so I have absolutely no idea what they are from, sorry

Pete,Do you have a spare bonnet? Perhaps you would email me direct so that we could discuss the matter.
The chap that was supposed to be making me a new one, may now not be, so I may have to make other arrangements.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Have you tried TET mouldings? They advertise in the back of sprint and are based (oddly enough) near Blackpool. 01253 892342.
Don't know what they are like, just passing on the info.
