I have an S3 an would like to clear up a dilema.

Steve Heaths book says use RC7YC(C)
Car is actually running RC9YC (2.9 cat in the book)

I already tried NKG equivilent of RC7YC and it ran ike a dog!

What are people generally finding to be the best?

I use the NGK plugs. Not sure of the model number but yours looks familiar. Have you checked the leads, dizzy and rotor arm. I did mine all at the same time and it runs fine. Got them all from the local motor factors, all granada parts. Cheap too.

I have an S3c which is using NGK BPR6EF V groove at the moment and it runs fine, be careful of the plug gap if it is an S3 the gap should be 0.8mm, or an S3c should be 1.0mm, Good luck
Cheers.....Tony..

Nathan I run RC7YC on a 0.76mm gap on my S3 and use unleaded with the correct timing and she runs just fine. I also replaced the dissy cap, rotor and leads and as Tony says above make sure you have the right gap for your car... I did see a post on here recently where the plugs had just been fitted direct out of the box without adjustment nono

Just collected my car from Guglielmi Motorsport this morning following 12k service. The plugs they've fitted are NGK BCPR6ES. All I can say is that since I've had the car it's never run as well as it does now...

Cheers guys,

I will keep hold of the NKG's then....

I am getting a slight missfire at around 3000rpm, i've change the dis cap, rotor arm, TVR specialists says leads are fine and plugs (although it got worse with NKG's!). I'm running a injector cleaner which seems to have helped a little.

Just a but annoying
