A picture diary of the adventure that was SClub2008 taken by passenger in TVRGit's car, me...his son.
Up bright and early to meet and start on with the 600mile round trip. Only five cars make kick-off, the sixth has had a bit of a mishap with a ferry and will catch up later.
An hour or so down the road and it's breakfast time, que a pit stop at Jedburgh woollen mill.
Petrol stop at washington services (notice roofs still off despite freezing weather...it's not raining yet)
Lunch just after Scotch corner (yes, it was raining now...)
Upon arrival at the travel lodge, we discover it's next door to a little chef! There's also a pub within walking distance with good food and drink. Sorted. At some time in the evening we're joined by the 6th scottish member who has managed to shoot down in five hours, excellent.
6am day 2 and some sad gits are out cleaning their cars
So off we head in convoy, for a whole four miles, to the showground.

Great Post and some superb photos Steven... the line of bonnets stretching into the distance is particularly arty... Nice to meet you and your raiding party...
I especially liked seeing H707 VUG (mine is H708 VUG) pity we never did get them next to each other for that "twinny" shot eh ? another target for next year...

He's away out at the moment but I know he has higher resolution versions - I am busy trying to reduce some and add the whole story to my own web site. If there are any in particular that you're after, I'm sure he'll be pleased to help.
Excellent set of pics 
I like them all, especially the hoon ones, but these are my fav's cos of different angles / composition and tip top technical quality of the shots!
What kit were you using.....? I did see a couple of big bits of Nikon glass wandering around on the day. Sadly I didn't get a chance to get mine out cos I was too busy selling raffle tickets!
It's the people making trips like the Scottish crowd did to stand in a windy field near Newark and seeing all the pics on the forum that made organising the day worthwhile

I like them all, especially the hoon ones, but these are my fav's cos of different angles / composition and tip top technical quality of the shots!

Thanks for the compliments guys.
Barky - All are available in much higher res apart from the hoon pics, they were a bit hit and miss and are quite heavily cropped.
Longers - All of these were taken with Nikon D80 and Nikkor 18-70mm f3.5-4.5 (i think?) lens. I've got a few other lenses, flash and another body (d50) which I didn't bring due to "space limitations".

I thought they were wider and some longer than 18-70. I keep meaning to get out with my 10-20 wideangle to get some different shots like your close up of the wheel - I'd better get my wheels sorted first though! I really like the low down angle of Steve's S, although a pic of the exhausts may be more appropriate for that particular car

Fantastic pictures guys, it looks like a brilliant day was had by all, I am so gutted that I couldn't make it to my first TVR show as I had to work and I couldn't avoid it. So bloody well done to all the people who made the effort (lucky sods) and took/posted all the photos. God willing I will be there next year !!
