The beast roars again!

I remember, about a year ago I think, a PH regular posting to announce that his car had just come back to life! I remember how much it encouraged me. Today mine came back to life! I'm not sure how long it has been 'dead' as I bought it as a non runner but according to the documents I have it must be at least 5 years. Started first time and did its first short trip (thanks to my neighbours for their support and for putting up with it driving a few hundred yards...without any bonnet etc!). Sounds LOVELY!!!!
Just a few things still to do though, for example driving it while sitting on a pile of cushions isn't very practical(seats are still in the dining room!). There is now at least an outside chance of getting 'her' to her first S club. Crossing of various fingers would be appreciated!

Mine was only "dead" for five months and I know how excited I was when I turned the key for the first time, so you must be absolutely delighted... and rightly so... well done mate and I hope to see you (and "her") at SCH

thanks guys, I will see what I can do about some pics. Just a nice little bit to pass on. I was working on it on the drive this evening and a fairly elderly woman who was walking by stopped outside and admired it. To my surprise she said 'my late husband used to work on building these at Blackpool, he would have loved to see you restoring it'. A nice moment.
