Hi there - The S1 was sold via Fleabay 3 days ago & I've just had a call from a guy reporting to work for a company called "The Blackpool Motor Company". They apparently used his own private log on to fleabay to buy my car.

He states that the guy that actually bought the car is away on business now until next week but he'll call me from Monday to sort out payment/collection.

The guy that called me is based in Sidcup, Kent.

Call me cynical, but it just sounds a little odd that a car company would have to use someone else's ebay account to buy my car???

Anyone ever heard of Blackpool Motor Company? Granted there is obviously a connection with Tiv's & Blackpool...

There are a few ex factory workers that have set up various companies up here still in the car business (servicing, body work, trimming, electrics etc). The name doesn't ring a bell.

I'm picking my car up from the garage later on (hopefully passed it's MOT) so I'll ask Dave (ex factory machanic) to see if he knows the name.

It might be worth asking on the general TVR section.

Hmmmm - I have sold lots of cars on ebay in the past and the only rule I always stick to is that it is strictly cash only and the buyer accompanies you to the bank where they verify the green stuff is real before he gets the car.

Ask him to confirm the conversation by dropping you a message using the ebay account. If it is in your ebay inbox from the same account that won the auction then it's the same guy. Still need to make sure you get the money cleared before releasing the car though
