Always used the Ford/Motorcraft 8mm silicone, never had a problem and they are not too expensive.I will dig out the part number if you are interested?

Ford dealers do them as a set for the 2.9 V6. I changed after the same advice from Lee and they do make a difference.

Look nicer too in red than the old ones.

hi sipow,

In my opinion the best ht leads are made bye Magnacor who are based in Coleshill near Birmingham.

The chap to speak to is called phil, tell him I recomended you and you should get them trade.

You need "TVR (Cologne Engine)Lead Set V6 in KV85" Part No is 9999. They are 8.5mm inductance leads, red in colour and will cost about £80.

I think you will be impressed, I was. It will totally transform the smoothness and pick up of the engine.

Oh, the telephone number is 01675 467114 and the address:

Magnecor Europe Ltd
Summerfield House
Station Road
Coleshill
Birmingham
B46 1JG

All my cars have these leads fitted, I wouldn't use any other product.

Hope this is of some help.

We used to use the Magnacor leads on the race MGRV8's with very good results, but obviously at a price hence why I recommended the Ford items."You pays your money...."

Talking about plugs, when I last serviced my 2.8 S1 I used 'grooved' NGK BPR6Es as a recommended replacement for my existing Champion RN7YCs.

They sharpened up the performance no end making it more responsive.
To confirm I wasn't imagining it I replaced the cleaned up Champions briefly and the engine became more docile.

I've never had a car/bike yet that didn't run better on ngks rather than champions.

I was hoping someone would post about these new 'grooved' NGK as I was going to use them last time. But where I was only sold them in packs of 4 which was a little annoying !

Can you get them individually ???
