S2 Brake servo
Discussion
Hi,
Can any one help. I need a brake servo for my 1989 S2. I have tried looking at Sierras in scrapyards but they all seem to have a two bolt pattern servo, mine being a four bolt pattern. I believe TVR themselves dont have any anymore. My brake master cylinder is the type with the remote reservoir.
Thanks

Replaced mine last year and got the part from a Saab specialist. I was told it was a 900 but it definitely is a 9000.
I would recommend looking for a scrappy one as mine was. The position of the servo in the Saab means that no water is thrown at it and it is close to the manifold keeping it nice and dry. Below it there is an under tray for the engine keeping all the sh@t out.
Mine was from a G/H plate I think as was mint for about £30.
Cheers

I think some 900's used the same servo/reservoir as the 9000 as I found one in a scrap yard a while back (I also checked my dads next door neighbours 9000), thing is these are hard to find around here I think I have only ever seen about 2 Saabs in local scrapyards. As a point of interest did you know that TVR used the external Saab reservoir (as used in S1/S2) on the Cerbera speed 12
