Might have a go at re-rivetting those damn rattly hood stays at the same time. They've only been annoying me for three years.....
Here's a quick way of fixing the rattle on the black roof stays.
Dribble some superglue into the joints, but keep them moving while the glue dries. This takes up some of the slack and stops the rattle. It lasts up to about a year, depending on use.
The best fix is to replace with alloy-type struts (expensive).

Just how expensive are the alloy struts?
Saw some on a S4 at the weekend and was impressed.
I was lucky to get some cheap (£6 each - removed from a Griff at rectification - sratched) from the Factory a few years ago.
I was quoted about ten times that price for new ones.
Alloy struts are slightly longer. You need to drill new holes in the bulkhead about 1cm lower.

Douglas Valley Breakers, pah load of b**ls
I bought two roof struts off them they took the money from my account promised to send them that day, he "had them there in front of him" (quote).
Excited in the meanwhile i took the old ones off to prepare. I waited and waited and waited then rang after 2 days of nothing.
There was no one there to help me "we don't know nothin about it" came the reply. This continued.
Seven days later I managed to speak to someone who told me that they haven`t had any for over 2 months so i must have been mistaken. Now i am not entirely stupid but sureley the fact that they had taken £100 off my visa proves otherwise.
I proved this fact and it then took 7 days for the amount to appear back on my card.
The story is simple as far as I can see DVB is in a land far far away where the truth counts for nothing and they must just survive off the interest from peoples cards
Needless to say I won`t be using them again and I should warn others off due to their lack of honesty and sheer barefaced cheek.

PS I bought new ones from Peninsula, lovely chaps excellent service ordered one day recieved the next sparkling new, they are fantastic cost £211 but frankly after all of that hassle i could not give a sh*t
