how often do you see an S?

I have been interested in the S series for almost a year now, but i NEVER see any out & about

I live in Exeter, Devon, anyone know of any local to me??

Also, how often do you see them in your area's??

tony they seem rare here in essex the only other 1 i have seen was in france last year a lhd s2 french reg example

I guess there aren't that many around, but I met a chap with a V8S 5 miles away from me and we'd had TVRs for some years but never seen each other.

Within a 30 mile radius of me there are at least 7 but I only tend to see them at events.

I saw one today but only because I went round to see how Richard (greymrj) was getting on with his car ... other than that I only really see any at the TVRCC meetings/shows - they are getting quite exclusive now (but why doesn't the price reflect that I ask?)

Only seen 2 on the road in 2 years - one on the return journey when I went to view the car I now have, and the other just 4 miles down the road from me in Norfolk. Seen 3 others at Snetterton which is near me and then others have been parked up at car shows.

I've seen 3 or 4 on the road in the last year - but then I am on the road a lot up to 30k in a year.

There are 4 within about 10 miles from me, all of us take part in events etc. There's another 2 slightly further afield who are also in the TVRCC.

There's another 1 about 5 miles in the other direction, but I've never seen it on the road - the owner is on here though.

My son's seen another 1 twice within 2 streets from here, both times parked in public car parks. Don't know who the guy is.

There's only twice I've seen an S apart from on the way to or from events - once was a few months after I got the car, when I bumped into Dave Bruce in Edinburgh (the winner of "Best S" at SCH and BNG last year), and the other was just after that. when I was walking out of the rail station in Lisburn, and I heard a familiar engine note behind me, and had just thought "Wonder if there are any S-types in Northern Ireland?" when one came past me - a very nice red one.

I used to live near(ish) to Exeter and I'm not aware of any around there - I know of a couple of M Series and a Vixen, but no S's...

I've only seen an S on the roads once and that was in Swansea whilst I was at uni. My first impression was "My god, that's loud".

Saw one today on the Embankment in London but prior to that (and ignoring shows, Car Club meets) maybe two last August and then one in (about) 1998

I was out in my S on the A35 for a blast from Honiton to Chideock it was brilliant.
I live near Axminster and a pal of mine who lives near Tiverton has just bought an S3, so we are about.
I go out early morning on sunny weekend days you wont see me queueing in the Exeter rush hour.

Hello

I have an S2 and live about 20 mins from you down the A38. Theres also another guy with an S2 about 5 miles further.

Unfortunately she wont be taxed until May as I am busy playing with my quad bike at the moment.

I see a few around, there are 2 in Plymouth that i see alot in the summer & a V8S that ive seen in totnes a couple of times

Whereabouts are you? I grew up in Dalwood and if you see a bronze M series around that'll be my parents...

As soon as I've got the hood sorted out I'm going to take the tiv down for a weekend and visit some proper roads.

Jed-s, where are you? I live just south of Watton, and am out and about regularly throughout the year in my modified blue S1. Have not seen any other S series about, except at organised events, and certainly none locally.
Do not go to the TVR club meets anymore...got bored with admiring paintwork ad polishing wheel nuts.....you`ll all probably hate me for that. Also joined the local Porsche Club a few years ago when I also had a 968 Club Sport. All nice people again, but only interested in the above.
My mate moved out to Perth in Oz a couple of years ago. Never looked back, sure they do shows, but they also do autotests, road rally`s, track days and a one mark race series. Why are we not more adventurous, or are you all going to tell me to join my mate? Going off track a bit, but had to air my thoughts.

Well Jed and Mark, I have not seen your grey or blue cars either...and I live 8 miles east of Watton (Famous for being the home of the Kia garage where you can get front indicator lenses for less than a fiver!).

Look out for the dark green S3 screaming between Norfolk and Suffolk.

There is nearly enough of us to form a splinter group! ...or maybe just plan to pass the same place at the same time one day...

I occasionally see Roy out and about in his white S2

Once I came back to my S in the local Waitrose carpark to find another S parked next to mine and a 'nice car' note on my windscreen Never found out whose it was though...

Oh and one time in Dorset I heard a rumbling outside our B&B and there was V8S, who had seen my S parked up and stopped to say Hi

I've never, ever seen another S on the roads. Apart from on my way to/from TVR events of some sort or another. I once saw Harry1972M out and about, but I almost didn't recognise him 'cos he was in the other car!!
