Show me your engine bays

Hi all,

Im just starting to rebuild my car and I could really do with some help with hose (Im going to buy a blue fancy silicon set) and wiring routing in the engine bay. I labeled most of the connections and took photos, the engine bay was sprayed waxoil black, so I cant see how the routing went.

All help will be greatly appeciated.

Note the two small hoses at the top of the swirl pot are the wrong way round, see the original in pic two

Sean - you've got the cosworth lump in yours which was never fitted to the TVR S - so I'm guessing you may not be able to get an off the shelf set of hoses. Unless of course the water pipes are roughly the same as the standard V6.

Sorry I should have been more precise - Its an S3C with a twist - cosworth engine. Nothing is striaght forward. But the wiring should be similar.

Hi Chris, Ive sent pics off to the tube people to match the in/outlets and I have the water pipes that came of it, so if worse comes to worse and they are not similar, i will send the tubes to them for copying (£170 I dont feel bad if they have to do extra work).

I see the anti roll bar fitted OK then Sean

Not exactly - I have tightened the clamps up and have 2 - 3mm play in the top and the bar can be easily slid around, therefore I either have the wrong clamps or wrong polybushes or both, as I purchased the unit bar/bushes/clamps from the same TVR place that kindly supplied me with a handbrake cable for a disk instead of a drum, I will let them sort it out.

Ho hum!

What did you clean the engine with? Did you use acid cleaner or just degreaser and a lot of elbow grease?

Diesel - petrol for the main and 3 cans of engine cleaner - your lucky, that your garage isnt connected to the house, it still smells and the doghouse is cold at night !
