I need some new tyres (followed by a geometry check) for the V8S.

It currently has RE71s fitted which I found ok on my S3C, however I thought they were no longer available and that SO2s or SO3s were the current option.

However on phoning around this afternoon I have been offered a good deal on four RE71s (Z205/60/ZR15) which keeps the original profile.

I guess these may be old stock? What do you all reckon - I'm a bit off the idea of SO3s following Apache's problems and TVRs comments but can't wait untill the SO2 is remanufactured.

Cheers,
JSG

You can still get S02 PP's if you ring around.

Whatever you decide, I'd appreciate knowing where you can get the RE71's, I like them and would only use them or RE720's to enable keeping the profile.

I understand the SO2's are superior tho.

Went down and had them fitted today - big improvement. Geometry will now be checked and set up.

Price was £317 for four RE71s 205/60ZR15 inc fitting, valves, balancing and VAT.
