NEC Classic car show

Well just got back from the NEC classic car show, what a cracking day so many motors to look at and tool and parts stalls to mooch around. The only problem with car shows with all the shiney motors is that I come away with a complex about the condition of my car.
Andys V8s which was on the TVRCC stand is absolutely spotless, amazing to look at, and the engine bay so clean and original, never mind the underneath, and the steel exhaust is polished up so much I thought it was a stainless steel
All credit to him for his efforts.
Ahh well back to the garage to continue piecing mine back together.

Never seen Andy's car in the flesh, but it looks very clean in all the photos.

Every time I clean my car up it gets mucky again when I use it. I like using it though, so I don't worry about it getting dirty.

I'm certainly feeling no complex about it!

yes I agree, the V8s at the classic car show was stunning. I was in the engine bay, underneath in the cockpit etc etc for about 30 minutes. I did make a mess of his offside frong wing though ... Drooled all over it!

Why, did you forget your roof? I've done that, but if you get above about 30mph you stay reasonably dry except when it's really pissing down.

I found that just parking my 3000S next to Andy's car at the NEC has had a wonderful gloss effect....Ok, maybe the fact that the WM TVRCC sprinkled a little of his star dust over mine and buffed it up helped!

I guess you weren't far behind me leaving, but didn't the GT40's sound great?

I followed them out and when they got round the corner they all had trailers waiting for them

All the cars where driven there except for Number 2 and the Racer.

Given the fact that I put him in the car after being told by the NEC that children under 16 were not allowed in the hall after closing (45 minute before we left) AND he had the GT40 sending interference to his processor when he started it up!!! I REALISED that WHEN... he was clicking to the beat of the engine.
I had organised Joolz (my better half) to meet up in a layby next to the NEC, she was cruising along and as we started to overtake...where we drove home...him screaming chase mummy!

Driving 300 miles each way to and from SCH this year in the bucketing rain - now THAT's serious "driving to an event"!
