Dunno abut anyone else but for me days like today are what these cars are all about. Roll on home time!Maz, might be a bit late but it may be worth investing in an Accumate battery conditioner if you're going to leave the car for any length of time in future. Hope it's ok though....
As far as I'm concerned if it's dry then regardless of the temp it's good enough for me to keep the roof off 
Don't get me wrong, Mrs L loves the TVR thing, it's just that it musn't be too hot or too cold otherwise she prefers the aircon in our every day car. She didn't mind the cold quite as much when we had the stronger heaters in our Chimaera, although overall I think she's happier with less refined S and the new house, kitchen, bathrooms etc that the sale of the Chimaera helped fund!!

C!! Really? Can anyone rate how the heater compares to that in a MX5?
It's just that mine is almost acceptable on full blow but annoyingly there isn't much warmth going to my feet so I never feel that warm. The MX5 (not mine I hasten to add) chucks out loads of warmth so I feel great but it is 2 cylinders short of a full load.
I can add that the S in the rain is great. As long as one keeps moving the rain just goes over the top - well almost, being 6'2" I get a little bit damp on the very top of my head but it is acceptable.

Well I take it all back...well most of it... We had a great blast in the S yesterday and the roof was off for the most part of the day and SWMBO was quite OK about it all (the five layers she had on might have helped), so as it was such a good drive, here's the route in case anyone north of Watford fancies it...
Start at Hexham (or join at any point) and head west on A69 turning off at Brampton for Longtown and onto Gretna where follow the Galloway Tourist Route (GTR) thru Annan to Dumfries, conmtinue thru Dumfries but then take the Coastal Route (jinking off to Carsthorne and Rockcliffe along the way) all the way to Castle Douglas (Break for coffee etc here). Head North past Loch Ken to Dalry and begin return heading for Moniave and onto Thornhill where north again to Mornock turning off for Wanlockhead (highest village in Scotland !) thru to Leadhills and Elvanfoot where you join the old road south running alongside the motorway until you get to Moffat, at this point you can either continue on the old road via Lockerbie to Gretna and return by the same route as you came or from Moffat you can head to Selkirk via Saint Mary's Loch, at Selkirk turn south for Hawick where turn East towards Jedburgh but take a right just after leaving Hawick and go via Bonchester over Carter Bar heading south until Otterburn where take A68 back to Hexham...

been out in mine today as it was such a gorgeous afternoon.........and rude not to.
It's been sat for near 3 weeks without going out or being started and the old trooper started on the first turn of the key and was full of beans on our run around the lanes. Forgot what a handful and what fun it is to drive
