Take your "S" on a Rally across the Alps????

I've got my name down for the Alpine Run which is an event organised by the StreetSafari Team. It would be great if any more S's wanted to join me. It is on the cheap so dont expect luxury Hotels but do expect great people and the best driving roads in the worlds-Stelvio Pass in a TVR anyone??

My Brother has done several of these events in a Banger and feedback was excellent, this ones for open for all cars. Any takers?? £125 plus accomation?

I know this is the announcement that many of you have been waiting for and here it is. The first European Open that we announcing this year is The Alpine Run (http://www.alpinerun.com).

The StreetSafari team has spent a lot of time in the Alps, doing recces for the banger rallies, and we've been asked by a lot of teams, especially this year about spending some time in the Alps with normal cars, whether thats a daily driver or a weekend special.

We don't care what car you bring, could be a rep mobile, sports car, super car, weekend special, classic. Really doesn't matter to us what you bring with you although we are recommending that £100 bangers stay at home for this.

Its 5 days of driving the Alps with a decent route and schedule.

When watching "The Long Way Down" on Sunday I started wondering about another long trip in the S. Would love to do this, although the overall length of the trip might make it difficult for me

Any idea on cost / standard of hotels etc so that overall price can be calculated?

To be honest I know as much as you. If you seriously interested I'd get in touch with the organisers via the website. From what I've heard...you get a rough route before the vent, then at the start of each day a detailed route is handed out. The organisers reccomend hotels to stay where evryone meets up and has a beer after a long days drive. The standard seems to be something along the lines of a travel lodge, so I would imagine something like £40???? But I'm just guessing.

Would be great to have convoy across the alps in our TVR's.

I did the S2N with Street Safari last year. Philosophy is the same for this. The organisers recommend hotels each night but you can book separately if you like. We went with the recommendation a couple of times and branched out on the other nights. Never paid more than £50 a room apart from the last night.

Depending on the route, can recommend the places we used if you end up going.

Only problem for me is it's a full week - something like a weekend at Le Mans is easy to get past Mrs L but I think she'll notice I've gone somewhere if it's for a whole week
