Hello Everyone,

I have just become a member. I thought it would be a good thing to do as I am trying to find out more about the S's. I really want to get one and was just wondering if there were any of you in the Midlands that would let me come and look at your cars. Better still are there any of you that take them to Gold Track at Donnington Park???

Paul.

I'm based in the South Midlands (Herefordshire) and would like to know if there are any like minded people around my way. I think there used to be a club called the 3 counties TVR Club, but I don't know if they stil exist.

The East Midlands branch of the TVR club
meet at Lambley near Nottingham.
There is a good representation of Ss including my noisy S1 and meetings are well attended (20-30 people usually turn up) and very friendly.
The website is east-midlands-tvr.co.uk.

Cheers Bill

I'm in Leicester and own a V8S, there are several others I see around the place too, so I would say there are some S's in the Midlands.

A good way to find out about other owners is to contact the TVRCC East Mids R.O. and he can tell you when they meet. Or pile along to TMS when they have an open day.

I live near Market Harborough and own an S3 and am also a TVRCC member and attend the East Midlands Region meetings (last one was on Sunday)

I would be most happy to talk to you about buying an TVR S. I am fast becoming an S3 guru and would be pleased to try to bring you up to speed.

My first bits of advice:
Join the TVRCC and contact the Eastern Regions RO's
Buy Steve Heath's Book on S Series from the TVRCC and read it twice.
Talk to other S owners
Do not buy the first car that you see, no matter how tempting it may be.

Hi,

I have an S3 and live in Warwickshire, on the borders of Worcestershire. I only take it to Donington when the British GT racing is on, so we've a few more months to go before I'm up there again.

Below are some local group contacts. I'm in the West Midlands TVRCC and we usually meet every third Sunday at the Bulls Head Pub in Meriden, Coventry.

I'd be happy to meet up with other TVR users in the Midlands area. Give me an e-mail if interested.

I drive my mica red(burgandy) S3 around Cheltenham quite a bit, but I only became a member yesterday so have not posted replies before, I dont think I would be too good at giving advice though, I bought the second one I saw!! and will probably be giving a lot of good business to my nearest TVR specialist

Although not in the souths quantities, there are loads of TVR's hidden away in the Midlands. Go to the next East midlands TVR do at Lamley, you will be amazed.

The next East Midlands TVR meet is at the Old Ship Inn
www.oldshipinn.co.uk/ at Lambley on Sunday 13 Jan. The landlord makes us very welcome and we have one of the bar to ourselves with hot cobs put on specially for us.
Cars arrive from 12.00 onwards with the meeting usually starting by 1pm until 2pm . This month will take a bit longer as the annual calender of events will be discussed and the day will finish kicking tyres in the car park(weather permitting) and inspecting the latest example brought from TMS by James Agger who always brings something interesting.

Look forward to seeing you.
Mine is an Arabian Blue S1
Cheers Bill
