Stainless manifold to steel exhaust

Hello all, I have the V8s front end stripped at the moment and was wondering if it is possible to fit new stainless mainfolds now in place of the old steel maifolds, coupling them to the old steel "Y" piece and exhaust which i will replace in due course when funds allow.

I can't see why it would be a problem. the manifold to Y piece connection is a nice flat flange so it should be easy provided it all lines up ok.

Should be no problem, my car has stainless manifolds and the old mild steel Y pipe until two weeks ago when I fitted a shiny gas flowed stainless Y piece.
