You're right, the 2.9 doesn't have the thermostat housing built in to the side like that: it has an inlet hose (and a bypass hose on the other side IIRC).

Would it fit any "S" ? 2.8 perhaps ? if not I might as well delete the thread...

He does actually advise a check first, but well spotted anyway
