the way ive got my car running at the mo it runs quite cold and im wondering if this would affect the general running of the car? ive tested the throttle pot and that seems ok so im at a loss to what might be causing the rough running. any ideas??

From my limited experience with S3 series TVR's they never run cold. The majority of problems relate to running hot and over-heating. What makes you think it runs cold? If is is the temp gauge, I would suspect that this is faulty.

If the gauge can be trusted, what temp does it show? Most S's I have seen run at an indicated 90 degrees. If yours IS significantly below this, I would suspect a problem with the thermostat perhaps.

Another possibility, have you disturbed the distributor? Is the cars static timing correct? Badly set timing can make the engine run colder and rough.
