Heater Controls Sticker

We use an engraving company for labels at work, I could ask, but I'll need a template.
It will have to be single colour too - for example white text on black background.
They are not expensive, and my boss wouldn't mind if I added it to one of our orders.
If someone can measure the existing label and come up with some sort of sketch I'll see what I can do.

Spoke to our engraving company - they can definately do this.
Are the existing heater controls illuminated from behind ?
(My V8S has fibre optic bits at each end, which works when it feels like it).
The light would definately not shine through the engraved label if so.
I suggested a 'sausage' shaped label, a rectangle with the ends rounded off, they said no problem.
They can cut slots in the middle of the label, but it may be difficult to do them with rounded off ends, they may have to be squared off. Basically the label is scored with the cutter on the machine then the centre section is snapped out.
I need a photo with measurements to get something made.

I don't have easy access to a sample to photograph it, but if someone could post one and add in some measurements of the sticker that would be great.
I looked at a few cars which had missing stickers, so I imagine it might be worth doing at lease a small run of these. Anyone else need one?#

That looks useful - thinking about it I guess only the dimensions of the slots is important.Is this the one you mean?
Oh and forgot to say the engraved labels come as self adhesive.
I am no graphic designer but if someone wants to design something smart....
Maybe even with a TVR logo ??
Can accept most formats for engraving, they are pretty good.

Kevin on yours you can't see the slots where the sliders move - how is that covered ?
Do the covers move with the slider or stand still & the slider just pushes it out of the way ?
My car has had a new wood dash, and doesn't have any kind of plate but the later illuminated symbols at the ends (& holes cut in the dash appropriately).
I can see right into the dash through the slots, and its not a pretty sight !
I can see dust & grease in the dash behind the sliders.

Ah, well that's useful because my dash is like Ketvrin's, and I had of course forgotten that they're not all like that, potentially sending you all off on the wrong mission... 
So somehting along the lines of the sticker in Ketvrin's pic is what I'm after.

Thats fine - I'll try and get one ordered in the next week or so - I will however make it a touch longer - is that likely to be a problem ?
My reasoning is that when the cutout for the slider is snapped out of the label it may break at the end if there is only 5mm at the edge.

Guys our CAD guy in the office for some reason was far more enthusiastic about doing this than his 'proper' work - so we've sorted the design already.
I've sent it off to our engravers, they have agreed to do a couple of samples.
Photobucket is down for maintenance at the moment, as soon as it is back up I'll post a pic of what we've come up with.
