Exhaust Clamps

Just remembered I need to get a pair of the better type exhaust clamps from Demon Tweeks, problem is I cant rememmber the size. Anyone know it off the top of their heads, the car is miles away at present so just trying to avoid an unnecessary journey (ok Im being a lazy sod)Its the clamps joining the downpipes to the Exhaust system I'm after.

Hi Ken - I bought the 50-55 mm band clamps which also give me increased ground clearance over the original "U" bolt types I inherited. Cost me £5.50 ea on ebay and well worth it IMHO.

Are you using the Mikalor hose/exhast clamps? I'm looking at swapping my standard U-bolts (more like 'u' bolts after a few bumps!). Demon Tweeks do them in 2 strengths - which are you using?

I found that the mikalor bands were not very strong as they are realy a hose type of band,and I found that they had a tendency to break if you tried to tighten in on a stainless steel exhaust.I found that the Jetex stainles steel bands and are much heavier and stronger

I have just bought 2 from Jetex - simply punched Jetex into google.
