Step 1 Host your picture somewhere on the internet. There are plenty of hosting web sites but pher Uncle dave has one here http://ph.uncle-dave.co.uk/

Step 2 Note the url of where the picture is posted. The url is the string of computerese gobble-di-gook in the address bar of the web page.

Step 3 In your pistonheads post type [pic], then the url you noted in step 2 (copy and paste is useful here), then [/pic]. Note the square brakcets around the word pic.

I use photobucket.com
With this site its really easy - as with each picture it gives you the string you need to paste into here to make the piccy show.
Once you've uploaded your pictures it gives you 3 different types of string to paste for various different uses (can't remember what and too lazy to go and look) - just experiment and you'll get the hang of it.
Do a reply to something and then preview it to see if your pic shows up.
