Indie Recommendations - Hants

Hi,

I'm looking for recommendations for good indies in and around Hampshire, preferably near Winchester. I've used APM in the past and was very happy but it's a bit difficult to get there & back. I need a fair bit of work doing over and above Service & MOT so thought it was worth checking if there are others I should be looking at.

A lot of the Surrey TVRCC people use David Batty - somewhere around Guilford, I believe.
Might be a bit better/more direct to him rather than the A272 & A3 to Andy in Liphook. Just a thought.

I have only ever heard excellent feedback from Dave Batty - fyi, when I bought my Griff from James Agger a few years ago he suggested I used Dave Batty.

Another thought was that Phil (used to Have S3) used P.Jarvis in Bevois Valley, Southampton. He had a lot of good words for them!

Not long before I bought my V8S the car had been serviced at David Batty.
In addition they waxoyled the outriggers.
Not much to comment on re the servicing but they made a very good job of the outriggers.

Ah, now that's one I've not heard of. Southampton would be much simpler. I'm sorry - I don't know who Phil is ( must attend some local meets soon ! ), do you have a PH name so I can contact him ?

Ah, now that's one I've not heard of. Southampton would be much simpler. I'm sorry - I don't know who Phil is ( must attend some local meets soon ! ), do you have a PH name so I can contact him ?

Not sure how many Phil's from Southampton area used to have S3's so I am not sure if Nick is referring to me, in which case I cant say I have used Jarvis, although I too have heard good things.

If its a choice of APM or the Garage, I'd be choosing Andy every time. In fact, I'd be choosing anyone over DB.

Hi. I'm the Phil that recommended E&J Jarvis, Southampton. I took my S3 to Jarvis's for the six years of my ownership and was extremely pleased. They are not TVR specialists but as the S is mainly Ford based I don't consider that a problem. They have worked on all types of TVR and have a lot of classic car owning customers. I have known the owners, John and Peter, for the last 40 years and know they are well repected in the trade ( you don't tend to last that long in the motor trade if your service is not up to scratch!).
