Seat runner bolts - quick question.
Discussion
Took the seats out of the S today as I need to get them out for the body lift etc and also as the covering has come un-glued.
Anyway, noticed that I had to jam a spanner in the rear of the runner to get the bolts out. When I undid the front one's there's another nut underneath the runner inside the footwell which stops the bolts spinning.
This seems like a good idea, is there any reason this isn't done (or shouldn't) be done on the back?

Mine were on the front only. I didn't put the locking nut on the back when the seats went back in as I was worried about the slide angle of the seat and it getting stuck on the carpet as it rolls forward. A good solution is a couple of bolts with hex heads so you don't have to jam a spanner in the back of the runner.

mine were front only as well. Tried adding further nuts on rear bolts but it makes it v.difficult to then drop the bolts into the holes (angle of bolts becomes a problem)- in fact so difficult I gave up and reverted to the 'factory setting'!!
Thanks for that - think I might go the 'allen bolt' route for the rear fixings - better than trying to jam a spanner in there!!I guess stainless bolts is a no no due to the lower tensile strength?
