Well my velcro for the hood on the car body was well dodgy, so I spent ages getting the old velcro and dollops of old evo stick off.
Finally got all the old little bits off using some petrol and a rag.
Got some self adhesive 50mm wide velcro from halfords, carefully trimmed it to fit, stuck it on and it looks great.
Pressed the hood onto it, fits lovely.
Pulled it off again. HORROR!
The velcro is that good its flaming well pulled it off the hood !
Looks like the stitching is well past its best, and its just ripped the stitches straight out (the thread has snapped, no damage to the hood TF).
Joy of joys - I've seen on other threads (no pun intended) that there's not much alternative other than to sit down & hand stitch it back on.
Ah well at least the sun was shining today!
