Alloy handbake cover question......

Thinking of ordering one of these from Richbrook. I know some of you guys have ordered in the past, just wondering which one I should go for, Ford, Vauxhall, etc as TVR isn't listed.

Go for a Leven one they are much better quality in my opinion.

Although the leven one is great quality, the 'button' they supply is a rubbish piece of plastic that keeps falling off. Rather ruins the whole 'quality' feel IMHO

That's a shame, especially when you consider the price! Still I'll probably go for the leven one anyway.

Just wondering if anyone has also gone for the replacement heater switch, etc. They look very nice..............

That must be a new thing with the Leven button as mine is a metal one which matches the handbrake cover bought about 2 years ago - regarding the dash buttons - Leven don't do any for the S but if you want to splash out you can try contacting Leebee on here who manufactures custom direct replacements one for the S.

They do an alloy blower switch knob replacement. I thought all three switches were the same?. For three it would be £75 plus postage though!

They're not strictly replacements - the new knobs simply stick over the the top of the existing ones in the best Blue Peter stylee by using sticky backed plastic! Not cheap though....

Mine is 3 years old and is exactly as described here - excellent quality.

Must say, all the leven stuff I have bought over the years has been of a high quality. Though if you are concerned about anything give them a call, they are very responsive on the phone. Rich...

Just make sure you engage the thread properly when you screw in the button against the spring - I managed to cross thread mine - the first time I went over a bump the handbrake button flew out, bounced off the dash, hit me between the eyes, then flew out the side window. I was trying to overtake a line of cars at the time and nearly drove straight off the road - had to write to the nice folk at Leven and get a new button. This time it's on for good.
