Hey guys,

Had some more work done including Griff 5.0 brakes and some 17" wheels. They were not my first choice but picked them up for £130 for 6 so I'm very happy.
I'm a bit of a spivnut when it comes to posting pics so Longers will do the honours for me when he checks his mail - Thanks longers.

All honest opions appreciated, I know they will not be everyones taste but I like em and thats what matters.
Took the Tiv out for first run today to blow away cobwebs and blew away manifolds instead- mental note, less throttle next time when testing tyres in bendy roads lol.

The wheels look a bit "modern" to me for the S but they do fill the arches nicely. As you say, you like 'em and that's what matters

Exactly the reason i'm keeping the original wheels. Not to everyones taste.
I have to say though the handling now is amazing compared to last week, It may look extreme on the o/s but to drive is even better

your S looks very nice! i don't mind those wheels, they don't look too bad on it at all IMO. the colour is very nice too, looks like its got a bit of a flip to it!

absolutely!! I have no problem with people changing wheels .. it's your car and your hard-earned money .. you've earned those wheels so enjoy

Nice one James. I do think that the S series cars look better with 17 inch wheels as they fill the arches more than the original 15 inchers.

I must admit that whilst the handling on mine is now sharp the ride on uneven roads is a bit firm to say the least! Mine too has Griff 500 brakes and Nitron shocks all round. I'm considering adjusting the shocks so there is a bit more give in the suspension.

Looking again James the wheels do look right with the more modern feel of your car (style of paint, wing mirrors etc), and at that price it'd be rude not to!!

I'm also looking of a set of 17in wheels.
This should lift the car up by an inch or so and stop that Blooming exhaust hitting the road.

I thought the idea of bigger rims was to be able to use lower profile tyres,keeping the same overall rolling diameter,if not doesnt it upset the speedo???
Nice car by the way I think the wheels set it off nicely.
Had a look at a catalogue of my sons recently and spotted about 20 different ones I fancied, theres just too much choice in them catalogues and prices *£$%^&, I will keep my eyes open for a second hand set.

I agree, I have put on low profile tyres to match original size to keep the speedo as consistant as a tvr S can be. Like I said handling is so much better I would recommend putting on 17" wheels for anyone looking for better handling.
I got an offset of ET38 for the rear and ET18 for the front, I now got some nice fat tyres on the back for better accelartion grip.
