side repeaters

Hi all,

Does anyone know what car donated the side repeaters to the S2?
My last S had clear ones and I'd like to get some more to replace the orange ones currently on the new car. I've found some Mk4 Escort ones for sale and wondered if they'd fit.....?

The side indicators were from late 80's Escort / Sierra.

The later oval type side indicators will fit, but you need to enlarge the hole in the car's "wing".

Believe I'm right that S2 and S3 repeaters are the same !?, in which case they are from a Sierra, though from memory I'm sure that the Mk4 escort, fiesta, Sierra etc all use the same rounded square shape side repeater. You can still get them brand new relatively cheaply.
