S3 clutch push rod

Hi guys,
Can anybody help me out please ? I have just removed the clutch slave cylinder
from my S3 as it was leaking and have successfully found a seal kit to do the job however on inspecting the push rod it is scored on the surface which mates with the clutch arm.
I am looking to replace this item and having studied the diagram in the bible the item depicted is identical to mine with an adjustment facility. Can any one tell me whether the item on the end of the rod is TVR specific or is there another source for this? I couldn't find any mention in this forum or the alternative parts list. Hi,
Still struggling with identifying source for this. Spent some time on local
Ford dealers microfiche but to no avail. Was hoping to get clutch cylinder back on at
the weekend so any ideas welcome.

Sorry I don't know what the push rod is from.

I think the slave cylinder is off a Land Rover - at least that is one of the compatible ones. Might be worth looking around at some rover V8 engined cars.

Hi Colin,
Thanks for that. I phoned Tower View this morning and the guy there suggested
that the slave cylinder was the same as Land Rover and the push rod came with it. I also
spoke to Neil at TVRCARPARTS who tried to help but couldn't locate it on any of his TVR diagrams. The one I have is adjustable as in the Bible diagram but I have been to a Land
Rover place around the corner and found that the LR one is a solid rod with no adjustment
but it is the same length as mine at present. I am just about to go under the car to see
if I can use it as an alternative by getting round the fork mounting issue.

Ianm,
I could not locate one of these last year when I replaced my slave and needed the push rod to be just a touch longer I ended up making one from scratch, all I did was round off the head of a bolt on a bench grinder.

Hi Harry
Decision is made. I will fit the Land Rover part as it appears the right length
( and actually isn't too far removed from a bolt with it's head rounded ). That will
get the job done at the weekend and I will also get a replacement end piece machined
in the long term in case Plan A fails at some later date and I need the adjustment.
This must be the only S3 piece that nobody seems to know alot about !
