Fuel gauge

I've knocked the needle in my fuel gauge off whatever it should normally be attached to such that now, all I can see is the very tip sticking out of the side of the display.

This is annoying- my fuel guage seemed to be unique in actually giving a (fairly) accurate and stable reading.

Does anyone know if I'm going to be able to take this apart when I get it out tomorrow?

I had my tacho apart to clean and lubricate it, if your guage is the same the bezel has to come off. It`s made of soft alloy and can be carefully prised off a bit at a time, when you reassemble it take great care with the glass when you pinch the bezel back into place, hope this helps.
