I got mine from peninsula, but ACT and others also do them.
They should be the same length as the cats and therefore bolt straight on, if you aren't changing any other parts. If you are changing other parts, then be aware that not all suppliers use exactly the same patterns - I had to lengthen my cat pipes by 1/2 inch or so when I changed manifolds and J-pipes later.
Some will say that the car has to be re-mapped etc, I'm not opening that argument again - I was worried about that too after some of the stuff I read on here at the time.
Suffice to say that I changed the pipes, nothing else, and the car goes absolutely fine, except louder.

Did the same with my S3c years ago. David Batty sourced and fitted them (from ACT IIRC)...
Aye, I think that it was your advice to go ahead anyway, that made me disregard the "remap" brigade.
I've wondered about de-catting my S3C before but have been put off by the tales of the need for remapping etc; if that is not needed I could give it another look. The reason to decat would partly be to reduce the heat under the bonnet but is there any other benefit in terms of response/mpg etc??

the lambda sensors for the ECU are before the catalytic converters so I really don't see how a re map could be required...
removing the cats will improve gas flow and you have to ask your self if they are actually still working after all these years...or if they have collasped and are restricting gas flow...

Exactly!
The issues above are clear but the cats on mine are OK so it would be replacement as a benefit. Is there any hassle with the MoT although I suspect not as the car is a '91 and probably doesn't need the cats to meet the requirement or is it that as it originally had them it has to meet the requirement??

As it's pre-1993 there is no need to retain or replace the cats - only 93-onwards do you have to worry about "if it had a cat fitted originally do I need one for the MOT?".
As long as it meets emission requirements - mine has passed 3 MOTs like that.

Mine has gone through 2 with no problems... I am assuming that you are assuming that your cats are working because it meets emmissions... the cars meet emmissions without them as well.. given the age of the cars it is unlikely that they are working very well if at all..
the advantages are the fact theat there is nothing in the pipe so airflow tends to be better... oh and of course they sound better.
