What rear view mirror do you have?

Anybody know what the rear view mirror is off for the S1?
I have tried a Halfrauds special and it wobbles around and is crap frankly.

Is it a Ford Item or what have you fitted that works?

Don't know for sure - but it reminds me of a Capri mirror (alright, I admit I had one once but it was the cheapest car available and I needed some wheels while other car off the road!). If you are lucky enough to live next to one of those endangered species known as a 'proper scrapyard', I'd try the Ford parts bin.

Had to glue mine back on after getting in, I'm pretty sure it was a Ford unit.

carefull gluing it back on, if you use superglue it will bond to solid and with driving vibrations you will end up with a huge crack down the centre of the screen

When for the specific stuff from Halfords in the end, came with a bonding gauze, has worked a treat so far

Fell off the day I picked the car up as the mirror ball was stuck and it was damn cold that day! Did amuse me though, was great to get back in a TVR again.

i assume you mean the mirror has come away from the windscreen , i used sticky pads to fix it back on and it is still there ,but preparation is the key
you must throughly clean and degrease and then apple heat to the screen before you stick the pads on and make sure you don't move it for 24 hours and you garage is not to damp

Don't bother with that stuff they sell in halfords, its rubbish. Best bet it to go down to your local auto glass fitter and
get the proper fixing for it. Guy did it for free when he wife knocked off the one in the KA.

Or alternatively check your nearest Tesco carpark,they had a few tents in the car park the other week doing free stone chip fixes, I mentioned my snapped off mirror to him and he fixed it free in about 30secs.

Damn, wish I'd have thought of that, as it'd saved me the £5 on the glue. Bluewater have Autoglass (or similar) there as a permanent fixture there, could have wander there instead of Halfrauds.
