Hi
Having a problem with emissions on my V8S for the MOT
co reading of 1700 should be about 300 gulp !

Have borrowed an air flow meter off a Griff and its got a 3AM 3volt unit on, tried it on V8S runs fine but emissions were slightly higher than before 1900ish.

Should the Griff run 5AM 5volt ?

If an air flow meter is faulty, will it cause large co values ?

THANKS

I don't know the electrical details to back this up, but I had got the impression that these were directly interchangeable.

If I remember correctly, there is a 6mm allen bolt on top of the airflow meter body - toward the front of the ally casting. This alters the mixture.

You will need to set this up whilst the car is running with an exhaust gas analyser 'plugged-in' - be aware that the 'pot' track may have become a bit dirty, so you may have to move it past the final setting and then back before getting a final number.
I expect you will also have to re-set the base idle setting.
