Modified Switch Panel

Finally got around to modifying my switch panel. Never used the air vents so decided to get rid. Cigarette lighter in its new place means I'll be able to actually use it to charge phones/sat-nav etc. Plan on moving my fan override switch from under the dash to the hole left by the cigarette lighters original position.

The panel wood effect was all cracked so decided to spray it the same color as the bodywork (Cureton Green). Need to redo it as the metal plate wasn't as smooth as I hoped. Plan on doing the main dash panel the same as that is all cracked and pealing off.

I think we all know the real reason you got rid of the vents is to stop mice getting in...

nice to see the traditional misted dials as well - mine have that option also!

That looks very nice indeed and gives me some things to think about. I never use those air vents either. No point - there's windows and a removable roof.

Searching for something else I found this older topic. Funny to see that the voltmeter isn't in the mist. Is it coincidence that this is the same on my car ? Is the construction of the Voltmeter different (better) from the others ?
