Supercharger for the V8s?

Hi All,

I´m thinking about trying the Rotrex supercharger that TVR power tested with a 4,0 litre Chim in my V8s. 30-40 additional horsepowers for less than 2.000,- Euros sounds not to expencive an it seems to be easy to fit.

Does anyone have experience with superchargers on a standard Rover V8 engine?

Is there anything I should pay attention?
Is it essential to remap the ECU?
Is the package reliable when the boost won´t be at an extrem level?
Do I essentially need an intercooler?
...Any other recommendations?

Yes to the remap, reliability depends on too many variables to predict, 30-40 bhp corresponds to 15-20% so very low boost and I don't think you would need an intercooler, but if you need one TVR Power will tell you.

I don´t think that a higher boost would be good for the standard engine and 15-20% are enough for me.

I´ve got the Tornado Chip from Mark Adams - So i have to ask him for an update for charged engines. But I don´t have a contact. Does anyone know how to contact him?
