HELP ! Diff Needed !

Hi All,
Well after taking the diff apart on my S2 1990 it is obvious now where the noise was coming from !
Please - has any one got a good diff 3.64 ratio or point me in the right direction ? any suggestions would be gladly received.

i have an s2 diff with brackets in my garage, £25 collection only due to weight. Problem is i live in hadleigh essex

i am looking to fit an LSD in my S2 could you please tell me if your diff si a 7 or 7.5 inch?

sorry, dont think its lsd

Probably not but your propshaft flange will be the same as on an lsd, there are 2 types a 7 or 7.5 inch flange diameter, if your diff is a 7 inch then i would be looking for a 7 inch lsd, problem is i cant have a look at mine because its on the car.

Thank you for your kind offer,i know beggars cant be choosers however can you tell me if it is a 3.64 ratio and what are we reffering to as 7 or 7.5 inch,and lastly is it good.

Re 7.5 inch vs 7 inch diffs. I think the Bible is a little confusing on this - it refers to diff flages, but none of them are actually more than about 4 inches diameter. I believe the 7/7.5 dimension refers to the width across the top of the diff casing between the top mounting bolts. My S1.5 definitely has a 7.5 inch diff.
Apparently the other way to tell is that the 7 inch unit has a single long bolt going through the top mount while the 7.5 inch ones have two separate bolts

the S was low mileage, so should be OK. Dont know ratio, standard S i presume
