Hey guys, advertised wing mirror on here for price of postage 3 times with no response, put it on ebay and within a few hours its breaking £40.

How much is a ball & socket wing mirror actually worth??

I sold a pair on e bay last year for £57.00 to a guy in Paris so based on that £40.00 for one aint bad going

Yes I saw that on ebay and was wondering if I could finance replacements from selling mine. I have seen that later mirrors are from Citroen CX25 or XM's but they are not exactly common either. Has anyone fitted TEX mirrors as replacements for the ball and socket type ? do they look OK ? and what about the existing hole in the door... is that covered by all/any of the later replacements or do I need to do something with that too ?

This subject has been covered numerous time - if you do a search you will find some alternative mirrors that folks have done - including me Mazda MX5 Mark 1 see pic in profile.

loads of choice but has anyone fitted the TEX mirrors or do they look too old-world ?
