TVR 280 s on MOT

Took the S2 for it s MOT today - passed as usual not a problem. I've noticed that the model is described as 280 s on the computerised print out. My garage tells me that Vospa informed them that there is no "other model" after I asked them to enquire. Does anyone have anything else on their MOT form. Is this important, does it matter?

My (2.9) S1.5 is listed as 280S on the Log book. Apparently TVR weren't to particular when registering them. IIRC someone on here got theirs changed by DVLA to 290S.

Mine was down as a 290S and its V8S???? I just wrote to the DVLA and explained and they sent me a new document corrected, apparently they are used to it with TVR, which shouldnt be a surprise really I guess!!

There was a thread on here a couple of years ago about this . My S3 is a 290s on the log book and that's correct , the picture on your profile looks like a S1 that would be a 280s if is a late one with 2.9 power plant , the so called 1.5 you could take your pick of either on the log book IMHO.
I think it mentions this in the bible , can`t check it out as i lent mine to a neighbour of my mother-in-law who turned up in an S1 the other day .
Hope to get down to London on Sunday , look forward to seeing some S clubbers .

Maybe they needed re-cetrification or something to bring out a new model? Lotus registered the early Excel's as Eclat's to avoid that
