I was wondering whether there was any distance in the idea of organising a meeting of 'S' owners. Following on from a recent post on the station about the club meetings being dominated by modern cars with owners less inclined to maintain there own vehicles it would be good to be able to get a bunch of us together to have a chat and look at each other cars etc etc Reality dictates that people are spread around the country, but how many would be interested in this sort of get together ? I know it's the wrong time of year etc etc etc but how about it. Ted may have some ideas, pie eating contests etc as an existing 'S' owner.... As for location then that would have to be dictated by majority. Cheers Mark

I'd quite like to see a bunch of S's together for a photo shoot and a pie. Where are we all? I'm in Surrey.

Well that's 7 cars in a day. I'm sure we could drum up a few more than that. Any one think of a venue or a suitable format. We really ought to try and get 20 cars if we could and meet somewhere they can be parked/viewed and allow owners to be watered and fed ! Suggestions ?

Sounds great, I'm in Oxford but my car is in bits I will however be able to attend future S meets, I could probably find another 5-10 cars around here to join in, maybe we should start a S series egroup list?, what are everyones thoughts on that? Cheers LeeBee

I was going to suggest somewhere in Kent but I might find that difficult to defend ! :-) Leebee is Oxford area, Pete Humphries is MK area and that is a nice car to poke around. Are you out there you pair ?? Ted's suggestions sounds great, pub will have to do pies though ! I have one idea which is to meet at Virginia Waters which is part of the Windsor Great Park. It has a sufficiently large car park in pleasant surroundings which you have to pay to get into. Next door there is a large Pub which serves decent grub. It's on the A30 Windsor/Ascot area. Wot ya' reckon ??

Windsor's a doddle for me. How does everyone else feel about that? (easy access from M25 for those coming around London).

Let me know well in advance (so's I can get time off work) and I could well be up for a trip down from Edinburgh - don't see that many S's up here. Ted - I could bring down a few scotch pies as well Cheers Andy Edited by macwalsh on Tuesday 2nd October 21:42 Edited by macwalsh on Tuesday 2nd October 21:44
