what fuel

ive always used super unleaded petrol but my local has stopped selling it and now does optimax fuel since using it the car doesnt feel right,im not saying its the fuel but i was just wandering whats the best to use? lrp? unleaded? super (if you can find it)? optimax? andy c

Super Unleaded was 98 Ron - Optiplex is slightly higher. It could be that your timing is slighly retarded and needs adjustemtn to run on the higher octane provided by Optiplex. I run my 2.8 S1 on Optiplex with Castrol Valve master additive - belt and braces as my heads have toughned valve seat accdording to the Stamp on the manifolds. Regards Alan B
